Development Cost Charges are used to fund specific capital works projects as wel as for the acquisition and improvement of parkland. There are two different Development Cost Charges applicable in the City of Langley: charges for water, sewer, drainage, roads and parks pursuant to the City of Langley's "Development Cost Charge Bylaw, 2002, No. 2482" and, charges for sewer pursuant to the Greater Vancouver Sewerage and Drainage District Act.
