The one-way section of Fraser Highway between 204 Street and 206 Street downtown anchors the heart of Langley City's historic core. The purpose of the improvement project is to renew this section to improve pedestrian amenities to enhance the area for an inviting experience for businesses and visitors and replace aging underground infrastructure.
To date, two rounds of consultation have been completed. Phase One (Appendices) sought input from residents and businesses on what they like and what they would improve in the existing street, while Phase Two (Appendices) asked for feedback on design concepts featuring different parking and public realm options.

- New landscaping, including 85 newly planted trees and 630 tree shrubs.
- Additional community gathering spaces along the One-Way.
- Replace the aging water main and services.
- Replace the aging sanitary, storm sewers, and services.

- Through traffic flow prohibitions.
- Free parking will be available throughout the Fraser Highway One-Way in a phased approach.
- Phase 1 - Limited off-street parking available between January to April 2025.
- Phase 2 - Limited off-street parking available between May to August 2025.
- Road closures will occur on a phased approach. and intermittent closure of roads and parking, based on construction stages. Please refer to the project map for intermittent road and closure periods.
- Public walkways and business entries will be available during construction.
