The City is seeking a full-time Intermediate Accountant to join our Corporate Services team. Reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning and Reporting, the Intermediate Accountant will be responsible for preparing quarterly budget forecasts, reconciling accounts and preparing financial statements, assisting in the preparation of year end working papers for audits, handling all accounting operations and for preparing and maintaining records, statements and returns. The successful candidate will exercise considerable independence of judgment and will have considerable knowledge of the applicable accounting rules and regulations, policies, systems of internal control, accounting methods, practices and procedures and financial systems and computer applications.
RATE OF PAY: Pay Grade 27: $45.66 - $48.74 (2024 C.U.P.E. Rates)
HOURS OF WORK: 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
