Join the fun in Recreation! Langley City is currently recruiting Casual Recreation Workers for a variety of programs in the Recreation, Culture & Community Services Department. We are looking for enthusiastic Recreation Workers to support and lead various recreation programs for all ages, such as cooking, dance, badminton, basketball, games room, soccer, arts, crafts, and day camps. Recreation Workers also perform duties such as set up and take down, public engagement and interaction, and supporting activities at Community Special Events.
Applicants should have strong leadership, organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Experience in instructing, coaching, recreation, summer camps, and completion of High Five training is an asset. Current Emergency First Aid certification is required. RATE OF PAY:
Recreation Worker 2: $23.14 – $25.01 per hour (2024 CUPE rates) plus 12.5% in lieu of all benefits.
HOURS OF WORK:
Up to 40 hours per week (depending on assignments) - Monday to Sunday; hours and days of work will vary, including afternoons, evenings and weekends, depending on programming and registration.
