    The MMIWG2S+ (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and LGBTQ2S+) crisis refers to the alarming rates of violence, disappearance, and murder experienced by Indigenous women, girls, and Two-Spirit people across North America. This crisis is rooted in the lasting impacts of colonialism, systemic racism, and gender-based violence, and has been widely underreported and remains poorly addressed by those in power. This year on May 5th, please join Lower Fraser Valley Aboriginal Society's Annual MMIWG2S+ March to raise awareness and honor those who have been lost or remain missing.
