The City of Langley has received a Development Permit Application for the properties located at 5724 & 5744 Glover Road (see map below). The development permit would authorize a six (6) storey, 70-unit mixed-use development, comprised of 67 rental apartment units and 3 live-work units.
The issuance of the development permit is governed by Part 14 of the Local Government Act and the guidelines contained in the City’s Official Community Plan (OCP).
Langley City Council will consider comments from members of the public on whether this application is sufficiently consistent with the applicable development permit guidelines, as contained in the City’s Official Community Plan bylaw, at its regular meeting on May 10, 2021. Persons wishing to provide oral or written comments are advised that Council is limited to only considering how the development permit guidelines should apply to the property and the project.
The land use, density and other zoning regulations for the property have already been established in the Zoning Bylaw and are not under consideration as part of this development review process.
As a temporary measure during the COVID-19 pandemic, Council meetings are being held by electronic means as permitted by Ministerial Order M192. As such, interested parties may submit comments by mail, email or by attending the electronic meeting.
