Girls Multisport Camp

Stay active this summer with sport! This weeklong camp is designed to give young females the knowledge, confidence, skill and self esteem to continue to be active during their teen years and for their entire lives! Physical activity and sport are crucial to leading a healthy life. This year the girls multisport camp will be returning to provide female youth with these opportunities!   

Sports that we will focus on include basketball, soccer, volleyball and badminton. In addition, youth will be able to take part in other physical activity such as swimming, fun games, nature walks and parkour! 

This camp will be taking place at Timms Community Center. Camps are 1 week long from Monday to Friday and run from 9:30am to 2:30pm. Camps will start running the week of July 4th to the week of August 30th. The registration cost for each week is $95. Financial assistance is available.

Elegibility

In order to provide an environment that is comfortable for its participants this is a girls only multisport camp. This will create the most conductive environment to development. To join this camp participants must: 

  • Identify as female 
  • Be entering grades 6,7,8 this September 
  • Be between the ages of 10-13

Please note any child aged 10 must also be entering grade 6 this September.

$95 per week  

*The registration cost for the week of August 2nd is $76 due to the holiday. There will be no camp on Monday August 1st   
 

Important information about camp

Permission forms 

This camp will be based out of HD Stafford Middle School. The majority of activities will take place outdoors. In addition the camps will be walking to other locations including City Park and Penzer action park. 

In order to take part in this camp, participants must have a completed medical release form and walking consent form by the first day of camp. Forms can be submitted in advance at Timms Community Centre or by email to tkingsbury@langleycity.ca. To download the forms please click the links below

What to bring to camp (and not to bring) 

  • Lunch and snacks - Due to life threatening nut allergies, we ask that all camps are nut free zones. Please pack a lunch and snacks that does not contain nut products.
  • A hat 
  • Sunscreen
  • Change of clothes including a bathing suit and towel 
  • Shoes that can be used for running
  • Items you should not bring to camp include iPod, handheld video games, cell phones, money or other valuable items. *Please note we are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

What we provide

  • Staff to coach and teach 

 

Refunds 

Unless otherwise specified,

  • If less than 5 business days’ notice is given, 50% of the fee will be issued
  • If notice is given on or after the start date of a program, a refund will not be issued

 

The City of Langley is committed to supporting children with developmental disabilities or delays to successfully participate in Langley City  programs. Financial assistance

Our goal at the City of Langley is to turn no one away due to financial hardships. We offer subsidies through our leisure access grant program. Subsidies are also available through Canadian Tire Jumpstart.
