Live Performances on the Douglas Park Spirit Square Stage

Schedule of Entertainment:

11:00 am - KATMOON
We’re a groovy little combo of well-seasoned players from Langley, BC including 3 vocalists, Lead guitar, Rhythm guitar and Bass. Our focus is harmony vocals, and dang, we put them wherever we can! Our playlist includes songs from the past 50 years and changes often. We are enthusiastic non-pros with a passion for great music, and we love it all. The hits keep coming!

12:00 pm - DR STRANGELOVE
BC’s most well–known and loved 6-piece dance band, Dr. Strangelove has become a Vancouver music and entertainment icon in the past two decades.

They have managed to remain on the cutting edge of the city’s live music scene by bouncing effortlessly between styles as distinctly different as The Beatles to Lady Gaga. Their ability to constantly reinvent themselves musically to suit the tastes of the audience of "that" moment, stems from their deep desire and dedication to always be more than a live jukebox. As well, who you see on the website is who you get. No sub players, no noses in charts or throw-together units here. Just the great original band that you hired. Dr. Strangelove's shows are highly audience-interactive, always humorous and always fun! The band’s vast and varied repertoire, as well as their two female and three male lead vocalists, gives them the confidence and ability to welcome audience requests often putting a very personal touch on an already great evening of entertainment and dancing.

With many years of experience, this band of friends continues to light up the stages of Vancouver and beyond as the city’s musical ambassadors for numerous corporate, private and fundraising events.

1:35 pm - OFFICIAL WELCOME
Official event welcome from Event Co-Chairs Langley City Mayor Nathan Pachal and Councillor Rosemary Wallace, joined by members of Langley City Council, MP Tako Van Popta, MLA Andrew Mercier, and more.

1:45 pm - VIVA MEXICO FOLKLORE DANCE GROUP
We are a group of friends with a passion for Mexican culture, music and dance.

2:30 pm - NORMAN FOOTE
Norman’s passion for songwriting, storytelling and comedy has taken him to amazing concerts and communities throughout the world. His ability to find ageless melodies and interesting subject matter brings laughter and singing to audiences big and small. He has gathered music awards along the way including a Juno and several WCMA awards. Norman has written and recorded for Disney Records, CBC, Shari Lewis, Max and Ruby and others.

3:50 pm - COUNTRY CUTIES DANCE TEAM and the SILVER DIAMOND COUNTRY DANCERS
Never to be mistaken who they are rockin’ in their leather chaps and cowboy boots, the Country Cuties is a team of women who perform in communities throughout the Lower Mainland providing entertainment through choreographed country music and line dancing spanning 16 years.

The Silver Diamond Country Dancers is a country line dance team and love to dance and have fun. We are based in the Langley/Surrey area with members from all over the lower mainland. The team has high energy and is very enthusiastic! We perform in local parades, fundraisers, festivals and country events.

4:30 pm - DANNY BAY
At just 21 years old, Danny Baylen is making waves in the music industry with his unique blend of Pop and Pop Rock. Driven by a passion for the timeless sounds of yesteryear, Danny aims to revive the classic styles that once dominated the charts. His music is a refreshing nod to the past, seamlessly blending vintage vibes with a modern twist. With his heartfelt lyrics and captivating melodies, Danny Baylen is not just a musician; he's a revivalist on a mission to bring the old style of music back into the mainstream.

5:15 pm - DRAW PRIZES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
Enter to win one of the planter prizes at the information tent; the draw is at 5:00 pm, and winners announced at 5:15 pm. Please note winners must be present to accept the award. There will also be an announcement for the Langley City School of the Year.

5:30 pm - Funkdalicious
Think Funkdalicious and the name says it all. Groove, soul, urban beat and of course funk. The group was formed with the idea of combining groovy funk with soulful vocals. When the acid jazz craze started back in the nineties, there was a void of local bands that included vocals. Funkdalicious filled that void perfectly. The band has evolved over the years now including more variety with top 40, dance and danceable rock.
