The City is seeking Temporary Full-time Parks Workers to join the Parks Operations Division of the Engineering, Parks and Environment Department. Assignments are scheduled to start between March and April 2026 and will end between September and October 2026; subject to operational requirements the assignments may be extended. Parks Workers perform a variety of manual duties including litter collection, and the maintenance of floral and tree areas, turf and sports fields, playgrounds, and related park areas.
RATE OF PAY: $33.86 per hour (2024 CUPE rate).
HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday or Wednesday to Sunday.
Temporary Full-time employees are paid 6% of their regular earnings in lieu of paid vacation and become eligible for benefits after six months of continuous employment.
The successful candidates will have Grade 12 plus experience in general construction and maintenance of parks and landscape work and the stamina and coordination to perform manual work outdoors in all weather conditions.
