Responsible Drinking in Parks Program
Responsible alcohol consumption is permitted in specific areas at 3 parks - City Park, Douglas Park, and Mcburney Plaza between June 1 and October 31.
Adults may consume alcohol safely and responsibly from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm from Thursday to Saturday and 11:00 am to 6:00 pm on Sundays at designated sites within the parks, as shown in green in the maps above, with posted signage permitting consumption. Alcohol consumption is still not allowed in areas in those parks not indicated on the map. The only exception is for activities that have a festival and event licence.
The designated park areas are “first-come, first-serve” sites.
Our City’s parks are valuable to every citizen. Please respect the peace of others around you, ensure you leave the site in good condition and drink responsibly. Please follow all regulations set out in the City of Langley’s bylaws.
