2026 Pool Season
This season, the pool opens on April 13 (previously May 9), stay tuned for more updates.
The Spring Recreation Guide will be online February 27. Swimming Lesson registration starts March 4 at 9:00am. General registration begins March 6.
NEW! Registration Changes for Swimming Lessons
We're excited to enhance access to swim lessons for the 2026 season with an updated registration process!
Due to increased demand and popularity of our swimming programs, we are introducing the following improvements:
- Proof of completed swim level: A completed swim level will now be a pre-requisite in your registration for all aquatic lessons. This will prevent individuals from registering in multiple levels at once, ensuring more participants can successfully register.
- Online registration: Participants will be able to register online, in addition to in person and by phone at 604.514.2940.
- Additional registration dates: There will be two registration dates - one in Spring and one in Summer to create a fair registration process for everyone.
- New refund policy in effect: Registration fees are refundable if a request for withdrawl/transfer is received at least 5 days before the start of the program. If less than 5 days' notice is received, 50% of the registration fee will be refunded. A withdrawl from any of these programs will be charged a 10% withdrawl fee per activity session. Registration fees are non-refundable once the program date has started.

Proof of Pre-requisites
To ensure participants are in the appropriate swim level for their age and ability, proof of pre-requisites and skill level completion will be required for online, phone or in-person registration. This will ensure a safe and successful learning environment for everyone.
- Online registration: When registering online, ensure your registration account is up to date and provide completed swim level from previous lessons. If you took lessons at Al Anderson Memorial Pool last season, this information is already in our system and no further action is required. (DO NOT CREATE A NEW LOG-IN. If unsure, please call 604-514-2940)
- Other aquatic facilities: If you've completed a swim level at another facility (YMCA BC or in another municipality) you will need to provide proof of your swim level.
How to Provide Proof of Pre-requisites
To provide pre-requisite completion, submit a swim level report card:
- In person: Providing it in person at Timms Community Centre or Al Anderson Memorial Pool (April 13 opening).
- Email: Emailing swim@langleycity.ca with the participant's name and a photo of the report card. Please ensure the photo includes the participant's name and the last level they have passed.
If you are unsure whether the pre-requisites are in the system, contact Recreation at swim@langleycity.ca or call 604.514.2940.
