Advisory Committees

The City’s committees exist to advise Council on specific matters referred to them. They offer recommendations to City Council on various programs, policies, and services.

Each committee has a defined mandate and membership based on its terms of reference.

Members may include Langley City residents or representatives from local organizations such as the school board, chamber of commerce, business associations, and environmental groups. The Chair and Co-Chair are typically Council members appointed by Council. City staff also attend to provide information on City operations, bylaws, and policies.
