An annual celebration to recognize the contributions of seniors in our community.  Free activities and events will be held in Langley City throughout the week.

Seniors 60+yrs are invited to join this week- long celebration by registering for the Seniors Week Activity Pass. This free pass will enable seniors to have access and participate in a wide range of free activities June 1 – 7, 2026.

Watercolour Painting

June 1, 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Registration required. Join the Langley Arts Council for a relaxing and creative day as we guide you through a step-by step painting experience.

Learn to Lawn Bowl

June 1, 9:30am to 11:00am. Registration required. Lawn Bowling is a fun social activity and can be as competitive as you want it to be. Learn the basic skills and playing techniques from qualified coaches.

Art Cafe $5

June 2, 1:00pm to 3:00 pm. Registration required. Relax with a warm cup of tea, good company, and a creative hands-on activity.

Langley City Library Senior's Week Virtual Reality

June 2, 10:30am to 4:00 pm. Registration required. Try out our virtual reality technology! You can go on nature walks, dive into the ocean, learn about art, or play a fun game. Both seated and standing options available.

Frauds & Scams Workshop.

June 3, 6:00pm to 7:30pm. Join BC CRN to learn about frauds & scams, tools that fraudsters use, common schemes targeting seniors, safety strategies, & resources to consult if someone you know has been scammed.

Langley City Library Senior's Appreciation Day

June 4, 10:00am to 1:00 pm. Drop-in (no registration required). We are celebrating Senior's Week with a relaxing coffee and social at the library. Join us for refreshments, games, and special displays on wellness and healthy food.

Senior's Crafternoon: Learn to Crochet

June 4, 1:00pm to 3:00 pm. Drop-in (no registration required). Together, we'll create a simple dishcloth while building fundamental skills. Enjoy treats, coffee and tea while you craft. Supplies available while they last.

June 5, 9:30am to 3:00pm. Registration required. Register for your free personal hearing test. Get advice from a registered audiologist and rediscover the sounds you’ve been missing.

Learn to Play Pickleball

June 5, 1:00pm to 2:30pm. Registration required. This workshop will introduce the basic skills and rules of Pickleball for the true beginner, followed by some fun game play. All equipment provided.

Free Registration to Single Session Programs

All Single Session programs June 1-7, 2026 will be free for those with a valid Seniors Week Activity Pass. Participants must pre-register to reserve your spot.

Unlimited Access for Seniors Week

With a valid Seniors Week Activity Pass, Seniors (60+ years) have unlimited access to the fitness track,  games room and the weight room at Timms Community Centre, and length swims and public swims at Al Anderson Memorial Pool.

Enjoy a walk or run at our indoor fitness track.

Monday to Friday, 6:00am-10:00pm
Saturday, 8:00am-6:00pm

A drop-in, hang out place for the young & young at heart. Room features table tennis, board games, indoor pool, air hockey,  video games, and more.

Sunday, 8:00am-8:00pm

Length Swim

Improve your skills or endurance! Participants should be comfortable swimming a minimum of 25m continuously.

Hours:
Monday to Friday, 7:00am-9:00am, and 8:30pm-10:00pm
Saturday, 9:00am-10:30am

Open to all ages and swimmer types.

Monday to Friday, 5:30pm-7:30pm
Monday to Friday, 8:30pm-10:00pm (Adult Only)
Saturday, 1:00pm-3:00pm, 3:30pm-5:30pm, and 6:00pm-8:00pm

Weight Room

Our weight room has all of the equipment and support you need to get fit. Youth 13 to 15 years old must be accompanied by an adult (19+) or have completed a Youth Weight Room Orientation.
