For Immediate Release
Langley City, B.C. – Langley City is inviting residents to take part in a pivotal conversation about community safety and well-being. On October 8, the City will host its second and final Community Conversation on Safety, offering residents the opportunity to explore key ideas developed by the Citizens’ Assembly on how to address community safety, gain insights from experts who've studied local safety data, and share their feedback.
The Citizens’ Assembly is a diverse group of 29 residents and business owners who have spent nearly a year reviewing and discussing data, learning from safety experts, and developing recommendations to improve safety across Langley City. Their work is part of a broader initiative to build a safer, more connected, and inclusive city.
“This is about listening to our community and co-creating solutions that reflect the lived experiences of our residents,” said Mayor Nathan Pachal. “We’re proud to support a process that puts people at the heart of policy development.”
