The City is seeking a customer service focused regular full-time Accounts Payable Clerk to join the Financial Services Department. Reporting to the Director of Financial Services, this position codes and processes vendor invoices, matching outstanding purchase orders, in a computerized accounts payable system to produce cheques, electronic payments and related reports. This position also reconciles corporate purchasing card transactions and monthly vendor statements of account and performs other duties in the department when required, including front counter relief.  

RATE OF PAY: Pay Grade 14: $32.55 to $33.85 per hour (2024 CUPE rates)

HOURS OF WORK: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

The successful candidate will have completed Grade 12 and experience with computerized accounts payable systems is preferred. Previous clerical experience in local government is desired as well as familiarity with municipal services and software programs such as Microsoft Office, Unit4 Business World (Agresso), and eDocs DM Document Management Systems.
