Starting in July, single-family homes and non-strata townhomes will begin receiving their new bins for the automated garbage and organic bins collection system ahead of the program that will begin in August.
Please wait until your first collection day in August to use your bins. Until then, keep an eye out for more information!
Thank you for your patience while we roll out this exciting program.
Following a statutory holiday, collection will be delayed by one day for the remainder of that week only; regular collection days will resume the following week. For example: if Monday is a statutory holiday, Monday collection will be moved to Tuesday, Wednesday collection will be moved to Thursday, and Thursday collection will be moved to Friday.
Due to the statutory holiday during the week of January 1 and December 25 collections will be pushed back by one day.
In the event of hazardous conditions due to snow and ice, garbage and recycling collection may be delayed. If this occurs and your regular collection time is missed:
The contractor will attempt to make the collection later that day or the following day. Please ensure your containers are not buried in the snow.
If the contractor is not able to access your garbage/recycling containers, they will be collected on your next scheduled collection day.
