Applications are invited for a Casual Recreation Worker 5 (Fitness Instructor) in the Recreation, Culture & Community Services Department at Langley City. The successful candidate will design and instruct safe, effective and appropriate fitness programs to meet the needs of different demographics and programs. Fitness classes will be developed to promote safety, fun, enthusiasm, strength and a healthy lifestyle.
RATE OF PAY: $30.89 - $36.04 per hour (2024 CUPE rates).
HOURS OF WORK: Up to 40 hours per week (dependent on programming and operational needs).
Casual employees are paid 12.5% of their regular earnings in lieu of benefits and paid annual vacation.
BCRPA Group Fitness Instructor (or equivalent), Group Weight Room, and current Emergency First Aid Certification are required.
