On Saturday, October 17, 2026, eligible Langley City voters will vote at Timms Community Centre to elect the following to serve a four-year term (2026–2030):

Two Langley School Trustees (SD35)

Mayor Candidates
Delaney Mack is a Langley City Councillor, small business owner, and local running for Mayor with Achieving for Langley City.
Mack grew up in Langley City and built her life here. She owned and operated a small business on the one-way, established in 2008, giving her first-hand experience with the realities facing local entrepreneurs, families and taxpayers.
That experience has shaped her approach at City Hall: keep taxes reasonable, maintain infrastructure, keep neighbourhoods safe, support local businesses and make sure growth works for the people who already live here.
As one of Council’s most active members, Mack has championed responsible taxation, public safety, transparency and common-sense growth. When nearly 1,000 residents opposed a six-storey development in an established single-family neighbourhood, she listened and cast the lone vote against it.
Her campaign is rooted in a straightforward principle: City Hall should work for the people of Langley, not the other way around.

Nathan has been an active part of Langley City’s civic life for over two decades, including serving on Langley City’s original Parks, Environment, Recreation & Culture Committee from 2008 to 2016.
He advocated for bringing back Interurban passenger rail, co-founded the Langley chapter of HUB Cycling, and co-founded South Fraser OnTrax, which hosted workshops and events, connecting world-renowned leaders to our community to help create a healthy, happy, and sustainable Langley.
He also authored a report, “Decade of Exclusions? A Snapshot of the Agricultural Land Reserve from 2000-2009 in the South of Fraser,” and “Leap Ahead: A transit plan for Metro Vancouver,” which called for building transit projects that are now being implemented.
Nathan was first elected to Langley City Council in 2016 and was elected mayor in 2022.

Councillor Candidates
Paul has lived in Langley City with his wife and four children for the past 36 years.
He has played and coached team sports all his life and was awarded Langley Minor Hockey Coach of the Year in 2007. He is a three-term Langley City Councillor, and in 2025 was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal in recognition of service to country and community.
He was the President of the Lower Mainland Local Government Association, which represents 29 local governments, three regional districts, and an electoral area.
Paul believes working for and in the best interests of Langley City and our residents is the single most important goal as an elected official.

Standing Up TO and FOR Langley City
Langley City needs an independent councillor who is not affiliated with either of the present groups vying for election. A person who is not afraid to stand up and voice an opinion that may not agree with other councillors, mayor and staff but can work with them. I have presented several projects from 2018 to 2026 to council and staff with the headings – Problem, Liability, Solutions, Financial, Communications.
A major issue in this election is about the word Communications. Communications from council to residents and communications from city to residents. There is also the potential bureaucratic paralysis syndrome where projects take too long to accomplish. This has been my own personal experience.
I believe that the city can benefit more from its residents and retired (senior) citizens if the right attitude is communicated because Langley City is The Place To Be.

Andrew has spent his career working on the infrastructure a city depends on, including roads, water mains and public projects across the Lower Mainland such as the TransLink R6 RapidBus route. That work has given him a clear understanding of what infrastructure costs, how long it takes to deliver, and how to tell the difference between spending money and spending it well.
Outside of infrastructure, Andrew helps families make sound financial decisions, including families raising children with disabilities.
He is the Immediate Past President of Langley Toastmasters, co-chaired the Langley Chamber of Commerce's Next-Gen Business Network, and serves on Langley City's Community Safety Awareness Committee.
As a Councillor, Andrew would focus on public safety, properly planned infrastructure, and disciplined spending of taxpayer dollars.

Rosemary moved to Langley City 30 years ago and became very involved in volunteering at schools, community organizations, and non-profits.

Find more information about advance voting and the general voting day in the accordion drop-downs below.
You can vote as a resident elector if you are:
- 18 years of age or older on general voting day (October 18, 2026)
- a Canadian citizen
- a resident of B.C. for at least six months immediately before the day of registration
- a resident of Langley City
- not disqualified under the Local Government Act, or any other enactment, from voting in an election or otherwise disqualified by law
To vote as a non-resident property elector, you must:
- not be entitled to register as a resident elector of Langley City
- be 18 years of age or older on general voting day
- be a Canadian citizen
- have been a resident of B.C. for at least six months immediately before the day of registration
- have been a registered owner of real property in Langley City for at least 30 days immediately before the day of registration
- not be disqualified under the Local Government Act, or any other enactment, from voting in an election or be otherwise disqualified by law.
Non-resident property electors are subject to the following restrictions:
- A person holding a property in trust for a corporation (e.g., numbered company) or another trust is not eligible to vote as a non-resident property elector.
- A person can register only in relation to one parcel of real property in Langley City.
- If more than one person owns the property, only one owner can register and that person must have the written consent of a majority of the owners (majority includes the person registering).
Resident Electors
Langley City uses the Provincial Voters List from Elections BC. If you voted in a previous provincial or federal election, you are likely on the list. If you haven't voted previously in a provincial or federal election, you may preregister online at elections.bc.ca up to August 18 to get on the Provincial Voters List. In-person registration is available at Langley City Hall up to August 25. After that time, if you are not on the Voters List, you may register at time of voting.
Non-resident Property Electors
If you previously registered and voted as a non-resident property elector in a past City of Langley election you are likely on the City's list of registered non-resident property electors. If you haven't registered previously, you may register by filling in the Non-Resident Property Elector Application and Consent Form (if required) and returning them to the Administration Department, City Hall by August 25. After that time, you may take completed forms to the voting place and register at time of voting or apply to vote by mail.

As per provincial legislation, if you are on the list of electors as a resident or non-resident property elector, you will not be required to present documentation at the voting location. A legally binding declaration is required in order to receive a ballot.
If you are a new or unregistered voter, or if you need to update your personal information, bring two pieces of valid ID (one with your address and one with your signature to prove residency and identity) from the following list:
- BC Driver's Licence (Note: the combined BC Driver’s Licence and BC Services Card is considered one (1) piece of ID)
- BC ID Card
- BC Services Card
- Document certifying registration as an Indian under the Indian Act
- Citizenship or membership card issued by a first nation
- Citizenship card issued by Métis Nation British Columbia
- Owner's Certificate of Insurance and Vehicle Licence issued by ICBC
- BC CareCard or BC Gold CareCard
- Ministry Request for Continued Assistance Form SDES8
- Social Insurance Number Card or confirmation of Social Insurance Number letter

Eligible Langley City resident electors and non-resident property electors can vote in person or by mail ballot.

Submit your completed application and choose how you would like to receive your package.
Mail ballot voting packages can be provided:
- By mail to your residential address
- By mail to an alternate address listed on your application
- In person at Langley City Hall, Administration Department, during business hours
Completed mail ballot packages may be submitted to the Chief Election Officer by:
- Mail to the Chief Election Officer at Langley City Hall
- Deliver in person to Langley City Administration Department
- Deposit in the identified drop box at Langley City Hall
- Deliver in person to the Chief Election Officer at any of the Advance Voting Opportunities or on General Voting Day.
Mail ballot packages will be ready to be mailed or picked up in person on or about September 28.
If you want the mail ballot package mailed to you and you plan to return it by mail, your application form must be received by the Chief Election Officer by 4:30 pm on September 29. This helps ensure you receive your package in time and have enough time to return it.
If your application to vote by mail is received after September 29, your mail ballot package will be available for pick-up only at the Administration Department (2nd floor), Langley City Hall, during business hours.
Please note that if someone will pick up the mail ballot package on your behalf, they will be required to complete a declaration form and show two pieces of ID to an Election Official.
All mail ballots must be received by the Chief Election Officer before 8:00 pm on general voting day (October 17, 2026) to be counted.
Note: Once you request a mail ballot, you cannot vote in person later.
This election, voter cards for registered resident electors living at the same address were mailed together in a single envelope. Households with an even number of residents, such as 2, 4, or 6, will have received an extra voter card marked "VOID". It’s included for printing purposes only and is not associated with any elector.
What to do:
- Tear the page with the void voter card at the perforated edge.
- Recycle the void voter card
- Keep the voter card(s) with your name(s) on it and bring it with you on voting day to make the voting check-in process easy.

Candidate FAQS
To run for local government office or school trustee, you must meet the requirements at the time of nomination:
- be 18 years or older on General Voting Day
- be a Canadian Citizen
- be a resident of British Columbia for at least 6 months before the election.
You must also not be disqualified (for example, for failing to file a campaign financing disclosure statement after the last election). You do not need to live in the community to run for office. Langley City and School Board employees must take a leave of absence before being nominated for Langley City Council or the Board of Education, respectively.

Nomination documents for Langley City candidates are available from August 4, 2026, until 4:00 pm on September 11, 2026.

To file your documents:
Only during the nomination period between Tuesday, September 1, 2026, starting 9:00 am, until Friday, September 11, 2026, at 4:00 pm. No candidate nominations can be filed except during the nomination period.
Candidates running for Mayor or Councillor are required to provide a $100 nomination deposit at the time of filing, payable to Langley City. No nomination deposit is required for candidates running for School Trustee.
Elections BC is responsible for educating candidates on the campaign financing requirements set out in the Local Elections Campaign Financing Act (LECFA) and for administering campaign financing rules under LECFA. This responsibility includes managing campaign financing disclosure requirements, conducting investigations, and enforcing the campaign financing provisions set out in LECFA
Langley City is responsible for regulating when and where candidate election signs may be put up, the size of the signs, and when the signs must come down.
Election signs may go up no earlier than 4:01 pm on September 11, 2026.
Refer to Langley City's Sign Bylaw for regulations on size and placement of political signs.
Election signs must come down no later than 4:30 pm on October 24, 2026.
Elections BC is responsible for regulating what information needs to be included on election signage.
Elections BC is responsible for educating candidates on the election advertising requirements set out in the Local Elections Campaign Financing Act (LECFA) and for administering election advertising rules under LECFA. This responsibility includes conducting investigations and enforcing the third-party advertising provisions set out in LECFA.
There is no legislative requirement on when a potential candidate can start campaigning, and an individual does not need to be declared a candidate to start campaigning. However, there are several recording and disclosure requirements that apply to candidates, elector organizations, and third-party sponsors during the election period. This period begins on January 1.
- Pre-campaign period: July 20 to September 18, 2026
- Campaign period: September 19 to the close of general voting on October 17.
Langley City has the authority to regulate election signage, therefore there are rules on when election signs may go up, where they can be placed and when they must come down. See the FAQs at the top of the page to see timelines for elections signs and advertising.
