Firefighter grocery bagging events will take place at local stores throughout Fire Prevention Week. Firefighters will pack groceries and share fire safety tips with shoppers.

Community Engagement:
- Poster Contest: The BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund is hosting a poster contest for students in Kindergarten to Grade 12. Entries are open until October 31, 2025.
- Elementary School Outreach: Students in Grades 1–5 will receive fire prevention packages and be eligible to enter a smartwatch contest. Schools holding fire drills during Fire Prevention Week will be entered to win $200 downtown dollars, courtesy of the Downtown Langley Business Association.
