City council endorsed the 2026-2031 Langley City Strategic Plan at the July 7, 2025 Regular Council Meeting. This plan will guide municipal decision-making over the next five years (2026-2031) and builds on the previous plan, reconfirming our commitment to the four cornerstones of the Langley City: Nexus of Community vision: Community, Connected, Experiences, and Integration.
2026 top priority initiatives
Within three Core Focus Areas, five top priorities have been identified for 2026. These initiatives were confirmed through a staff review of progress on the 2023-2028 Strategic Plan, as well as staff and council-identified emerging issues and opportunities.
This is the City’s rolling five-year plan, meaning annual updates will be made, to ensure the plan stays relevant. Future funding decisions to advance the identified goals will be based on community engagement and a business case analysis.
