Pet Waste can be placed in your garbage bin
Dog waste can harm water systems and the environment. It’s not fertilizer and doesn’t break down safely in nature. To keep our parks and environment clean, please:
- Always pick up after your pet.
- Use a bag to collect the waste and tie it securely.
- Place your dog waste in your garbage bin or in the dog waste bins -- not in recycling or green waste.

Bins with over 5% banned materials will be charged a fee
If your garbage contains more than 5% banned or recyclable materials, a 50% surcharge (an extra $32.50 per tonne) will be added to the disposal cost. This fee applies to the entire load and will be billed back to your business, complex, or municipality.
Large Item Pick up
Up to four items can be picked up each year, and they are available to detached single-family dwelling residents by appointment only.
