Langley City's Citizens' Assembly

A New Standard for Direct Citizen Participation

The Citizens’ Assembly allows residents to directly influence Langley City's future and shape its policies. The Assembly will focus on challenges related to community  safety, well-being and resiliency like:

  • housing
  • streamlined services
  • supports.

The goal is to find solutions that matter most to Langley City residents.

Once the Assembly develops its recommendations, they will be shared with Langley City Council for review.

Empowering our community through direct participation

Focusing on community-led initiatives empowers citizens to have a direct voice in shaping policies to create their own solutions on things that matter in their neighbourhood, such as housing, land, businesses, services, and strengthening community connections.

Results that benefit our community

There are many benefits to empowering the community to participate and share their voices to shape policies directly. Some benefits are:

  • caring for our environment
  • supporting local wealth with access to jobs, skills, and education opportunities

What Your Participation Helps Shape
