Community invited to help shape the future of Langley City’s recreation, arts and culture spaces

Date

LANGLEY CITY, B.C. – Feedback shared this year will help shape how people in Langley City swim, play, gather, and experience arts and culture for decades to come. This April, the City is inviting the community to share perspectives on two major projects to serve our growing city.

Langley City is launching the second phase of public engagement for Invest Langley City, which focuses on planning and funding two key city facilities that support everyday quality of life in the city.

  • An expansion of Al Anderson Memorial Pool, including possible renovations to improve access to year‑round leisure, fitness, and recreation programs.
  • An expansion of Timms Community Centre combined with a Performing Arts and Cultural Centre, providing more space for recreation, arts and culture.

“Langley City is growing, and with that growth comes the responsibility to plan ahead,” said Mayor Nathan Pachal. “These are significant projects with long‑term impacts, and it’s important that residents understand the options and share their perspectives. Invest Langley City is really about making informed choices together.”

Community members can review updated project details, including proposed amenities, estimated costs and potential tax implications, and share feedback on whether the City should move forward with the projects.
