Langley City, B.C. -- Langley City is proud to welcome back Choose to Move, a free health and wellness program designed for adults aged 55 and older, reflecting Langley City’s ongoing commitment to support healthy living. Interested participants must register and attend the free information session on September 13 from 11:30am to 1:00pm at Timms Community Centre.
“Langley City is proud to support programs like Choose to Move that empower older adults to live healthier, more connected lives,” says Kim Hilton, Director of Recreation, Culture & Community Services. “This initiative aligns with our commitment to creating an age-friendly community where residents of all ages can thrive.”
Personalized, flexible wellness program to run between September 27 to November 29, 2025
Choose to Move was developed by the University of British Columbia and is delivered in partnership with the Active Aging Society and BC Recreation and Parks Association.
The program offers individual coaching and eight group sessions to help participants to build active habits that suit their lifestyle and interests. Whether it is walking, dancing, gardening, or swimming, participants meet their health and wellness goals by picking activities they enjoy.
