Meeting: November 18, 2024 at 7pm - Virtual Meeting Format
Purpose: To amend the City of Langley Zoning Bylaw to rezone the property located at 5360 204 Street (outlined in bold on the map below) from RM2 Multiple Residential Medium Density Zone to CD103 Comprehensive Development Zone to permit a 6-storey, 283-unit apartment building.
Legal Description: Lot 178, District Lot 36, Group 2, New Westminster District, Plan 53282
In accordance with section 464(3) of the Local Government Act, the City must not hold a Public Hearing for this application. This is due to the change to Provincial housing legislation, adopted by the Province of BC on November 30, 2023, that prohibits local governments from holding public hearings for rezoning applications for residential developments that are consistent with the local government’s Official Community Plan (OCP).
This rezoning application, proposing a 6-storey, 283-unit apartment building, is consistent with the City of Langley Official Community Plan.
The proposed Bylaw 3294, explanatory memo, staff report, architectural drawings & landscape drawings may be viewed online from Friday, November 8, 2024 to Monday, November 18, 2024 and at the "Development Application Portal" (by type of development and civic address) or in person at the Development Services department at City Hall, 20399 Douglas Crescent, Langley, Monday to Friday, 8:30AM - 4:30PM, excluding statutory holidays.
