To keep the City’s water clean, the pipes will be flushed with water as part of the regular maintenance in the South Zone of Langley City.
How this may impact you:
During this work, you may experience temporary discolouration and low pressure. This is not a health risk. Run cold water until the water turns clears.
Here’s why it’s important:
- Removes sediment: Over time, sediment builds up in water mains. Flushing helps remove these deposits for cleaner water.
- Improves water quality: Flushing maintains water quality by removing impurities.
- Enhances system operations: Flushing identifies weak or problem areas, improves hydraulic capacity, and extends the life of system components.
