Multipurpose Rooms
Multipurpose Rooms 1 & 2 have a maximum capacity of 50 people. Multipurpose Room 4 has a maximum capacity of 30 people.
Room are equipped with tables, chairs, a white board, Wi-Fi and a 70 inch monitor for presentations. No other equpment or access to other facility amenities is included.
For birthday parties and other rentals involving food, gifts, games or additional decor, we recommend a maximum of 30 guests (MPR 1 & 2) as the space may not accomodate the extra addtions.
Insurance Requirements
All renters are required to provide liability insurance naming the City of Langley as an additional insured for no less than 2 million dollars.
Insurance may be arranged through your own provider or through the Municipal Insurance Association of BC Special Event Insurance Provider.
Room Set Up/Take Down
Access to the rental room is provided 15 minutes prior to the rental start time. Arriving early will not result in early access. If you require addtional time to set up the space for your needs, this must be booked and paid for at the time of reservation.
Renters are responsible to set up tables, chairs and other room requirements. Presention and audio-visual assistance is not provided.
Take down time must be completed by the end time of your rental. If you required additional time to take down the space, this must be booked and paid for at the time of reservation.
Attendance must not exceed the room's capacity. If the number of guests exceeds the maximum, the rental will have to remove guests or the rental may be cancelled.
Food and Kitchen
There is no access to a kitchen or refrigerator. You are permitted to bring in outside food for private rentals.
Facility Guidelines
Timms Community Centre is a shared community facility and there may be other activities and programs scheduled during your rental. All facility users are expected to be mindful of other users enjoyment, and ensure that their guests are abiding by the facilities Code of Conduct.
Parking
Timms Community Centre has underground parking available that is not time restricted. Surface parking is available and has a 3 hour time restriction.
