Traffic impacts

  • At least one lane remains open in all directions at all times.
  • Langley Bypass (Southbound): Closures allowed 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
  • Langley Bypass (Northbound): Closures allowed 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • Night Work: Paving from 7:00 PM – 6:00 AM.

Full project description

  • Replace the existing sidewalks on both sides of the Bypass with a wider multi-use path for pedestrians, cyclists, and other users.
  • Increase pedestrian safety by upgrading intersections along the Bypass at 56 Avenue and Fraser Highway, where heavy pedestrian traffic heads to Langley Secondary School and Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
  • Relocation of curbs to allow for the construction of multi-use pathways.
  • Replace the existing asphalt along the Bypass between 56 Avenue and Fraser Highway.
  • Add street lights, landscaping, and trees.
