Tony has served as a Langley School Trustee since first being elected in 2018 and is seeking to continue serving students, families, and communities across the Langley School District.
A lifelong Langley resident, Tony was educated in Langley City at Langley Prairie Fundamental and Blacklock Elementary before graduating from Langley Secondary. He has raised three children who attended schools throughout the district, giving him a personal appreciation for the important role schools play in our community.
With eight years of experience on the Board, Tony brings a strong understanding of school governance, financial responsibility, public accountability, and the diverse needs of students and families. A longtime Township of Langley employee, he has spent decades serving the local community in a broad range of roles.
Tony believes every student deserves opportunities to discover their strengths and reach their potential, and that thoughtful, evidence-based decisions should keep students at the centre.
Community starts with kids.

Langley's growth requires schools to keep pace. Apartments are being built everywhere, but neither the city nor the school board have planned any new school sites.
As a business consultant, I've spent my career solving hard problems in organizations that couldn't afford to get them wrong, reading budgets, asking the right questions, and building strategies. Having studied business, urban land economics, and finance at UBC and SFU, I am applying my experience to solving our school district’s greatest challenges.
My commitment to community includes serving on the board of Langley Care Society and business mentorship through the Forum Mentorship Program and Scotiabank Women Initiative.
I'm running as an independent because I believe our schools deserve impartiality, without political agendas.

As a long-time Langley resident, parent, and senior business leader, I am committed to ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed. With more than 38 years of leadership experience managing large teams, complex budgets, and organizational change, I bring practical decision-making, accountability, and a focus on results.
My priorities are improving student achievement, supporting literacy and numeracy, strengthening skilled trades and career pathway programs, addressing student mental health and well-being, and ensuring schools remain safe, inclusive, and respectful environments for all. I will advocate for responsible financial stewardship, transparent decision-making, and long-term planning to help address growing enrollment and capacity pressures in Langley.
I believe trustees must listen, collaborate, and put students first. Together, we can build strong schools, support our educators, and prepare every student for success in school, work, and life.

I'm running for Langley City School Trustee because our community's public schools deserve strong local representation.
I hold a Master's in International Business and have an extensive consulting background across private and public organizations - work that sharpened my ability to set strategic direction, evaluate a plan, and ask hard questions. These are valuable skills a school board needs to manage public dollars and balance competing priorities.
As a parent of four and a Langley City resident, I have a direct stake in this community's future and its public education system. Concerns about our catchment school's capacity led us to choose an independent school. These concerns are why I believe this district needs more engaged, hands-on advocacy, not less. Good governance means representing every family here, not just my own. As Langley City grows, our schools need the resources to keep up.
Local voice. Local representation. Local priorities.

Langley became home when I married in 2001. In 2003 we bought our house in the City. We had 3 children/currently 1 child in the Langley School district, and we have been involved with many other community groups. I believe you will find my mix of work and life experiences along with my volunteering on another Board and various school PAC's makes me a good candidate for School Trustee. I have been an involved parent in my children's schools since preschool!
I enjoy getting involved and giving back to my community!
