Langley City Council consists of a mayor and six councillors. The role of local government is to oversee the community's delivery of:
- local services;
- facilities;
- safety;
- and infrastructure.
To be effective, local governments require community involvement. Citizen engagement and feedback systems strengthen the quality of policy-making, programs and service delivery.
