Extra yard waste collection from April 13 to May 22, 2026
Residents in single-family or non-strata recieving City waste services can place extra yard waste in paper bags on their regular collection day for pick up.
Garbage, recycling, and organics will still be collected on all statutory holidays, following the regular collection schedule, except for January 1 and December 25.
On January 1 and December 25, collection will be delayed by one day; normal collection will resume the following week. For example: if Monday is a holiday, Monday’s collection will shift to Tuesday, Tuesday’s to Wednesday, and Wednesday’s to Thursday.
In the event of hazardous conditions due to snow and ice, garbage and recycling collection may be delayed. If this occurs and your regular collection time is missed:
The contractor will attempt to make the collection later that day or the following day. Please ensure your containers are not buried in the snow.
If the contractor is not able to access your garbage/recycling containers, they will be collected on your next scheduled collection day.
