Summer Memories

July 3 – August 13, 2026

This exhibition highlights the moments, feelings, and experiences that make summer special. Through a collection of artworks, artists share their memories and perspectives of the season, from time spent outdoors and exploring nature to moments of connection with family, friends, and community.

Summer often brings a sense of freedom, discovery, and reflection. The artworks in this exhibition capture the colours, emotions, and stories connected to these warm and meaningful moments. Visitors are invited to explore the exhibition and reflect on their own summer memories, places they have visited, and experiences that continue to inspire them.

The Free Little Art Gallery

Location: Timms Community Centre (20399 Douglas Crescent)
Facilitated By: Langley City and Finding Present

The Free Little Art Gallery Langley is a community-driven initiative that provides a no-cost, accessible space where youth can display, share, and take home artwork without oversight or judgment. Inspired by the growing movement of Free Little Art Galleries across North America and the Lower Mainland. The Langley City Free Little Art Gallery (FLAG) for Youth is the 2nd Youth specific FLAG in B.C. and the first on this side of the Fraser River.

This project offers a miniature display case/cabinet where young artists can proudly showcase their creations in a public setting. Much like the well-known Little Free Libraries, this gallery operates on a “take one, leave one” model and provides free art supplies, such as sketchbooks, markers, paints, and brushes, for youth who may face financial or material barriers to participation.
