What is the Sharks Aquatic Leadership Program?
The Sharks program is designed to give teens an opportunity to experience the challenges and benefits of working in Aquatics. This two-week program includes training sessions in swimming lesson instruction, lifeguarding and event planning. Sharks are given daily opportunities to cultivate, demonstrate and expand their leadership skills.

Qualifications
Potential Sharks must:
- be at least 13 years old
- completed Bronze Medallion
- Provide two letters of reference from outside their family
- be available to volunteer at one Al Anderson Memorial Pool Special Event

July 14 - 25 $85.00
August 11-25 $85.00
Daily Schedule:
9:00-11:30am - Volunteer in Lessons
12:00-4:00pm - Instructor Education, Leadership, First Aid Training
How to Apply
Step 1 | Complete the Application Form and return it to Timms Community Centre or Al Anderson Memorial Pool. Provide two reference letters that are not from your family. Note: Al Anderson Memorial Pool opens in May. |

Step 2 | Register for the program |
Step 3 | Complete Police Information Check (PIC). The PIC request can be dropped off at the Langley RCMP Detachment in Murrayville (22180 48A Ave). Upon completion, it will be sent directly to the Recreation Supervisor and requires no further action from the candidate. |
