For immediate release
Langley City, B.C. — Langley City is inviting residents to help shape the future of the community through Invest Langley City, a 10-year investment plan for our community.
Over the past several years, residents have expressed interest in more recreation and cultural spaces, including an Aquatic Centre and a Performing Arts and Cultural Centre (PACC). Both projects reflect years of research and community feedback.
“Over the years, we’ve heard from the community that they’d like to see a Performing Arts Centre and expanded recreation facilities, including an aquatics facility expansion. As these are significant, long-term investments, we want to ensure that we are on the right track,” said Mayor Nathan Pachal.
Why Community Feedback Matters
As Langley City grows, investments must reflect community needs and interests. Invest Langley City focuses on municipal infrastructure, facilities and publics spaces that will deliver lasting value through practical, smart investments built with everyone in mind. Feedback gathered through this process will guide decisions that will impact the health and wellbeing of our citizens.
What’s Being Considered
- Aquatic Centre: to provide leisure, fitness and expanded recreation programs for all ages
- Performing Arts and Cultural Centre (PACC) combined with an expanded Timms Community Centre: to create a hub for cultural expression, offer expanded recreation programs, and serve as a destination to attract newcomers and visitors.
