Langley City, B.C. – The City is initiating the second phase of the pilot program to collect extra yard waste from April 13 to May 22, 2026 to help residents manage seasonal yard clean up this Spring. Homes receiving City organics service may place extra paper yard waste bags beside their organics bins on their regular collection day.
“The fall extra yard waste pilot program took place during the rollout of the automated collection program, before residents had access to larger or additional organic carts,” said Rachel Ollenberger, Manager of Engineering Services. “This spring pilot allows the City to observe how the service is used now that the system is fully in place.”
