Sounds of Summer is a lively, multi-week outdoor concert series celebrating music of all kinds. Each week features two live bands, showcasing a wide range of genres—from classic rock and pop to blues, funk, and more. These free concerts are open to all ages, making it the perfect way to enjoy summer evenings with friends, family, and the community.
NEW THIS YEAR! On concert nights, the park also hosts the Langley Community Farmers Market with 20+ vendors, offering a rotating mix of artisan goods, local products, and food options that change each week.

Band: Cookin' With Brass Music Genre: Classic Rock, Dance, Jazz
About the Band: Cookin' With Brass is a high octane band that supercharges Top 40 Pop songs with their universal party groove. This Funky Brass Band will turn any event into a family friendly New Orleans street party. Cookin' With Brass has a repertoire that spans from early Motown songs like I Want You Back by The Jackson 5 to I Just Might by Bruno Mars plus New Orleans Brass Band favourites.
Known for their heart pounding energy, this adrenaline-charged band features a blend of traditional New Orleans sounds R&B, Blues, Funk, Jazz, Rock and Pop. Their genre-bending performances unleash brassy Funk and Street Beat rhythms that move people.
Cookin' With Brass was featured at 23 festivals and community concerts last Summer including Vancouver Symphony Day of Music, Granville Block Party, Main Street Car Free Day, Surrey’s Canada Day, The Hyack Festival, Mission Twilight Concert Series and Sounds of Summer in Surrey. Past performances also include The Harrison Festival of the Arts, Surrey Fusion Festival, The Harmony Arts Festival, The Surrey Tree Lighting Festival, Hats Off Days, Taiwanese Canadian Cultural Festival, SurreyFest, The Irish Fusion Festival, The Whiskey Smoke at Hastings Racecourse, Concerts in The Park (Hope BC) and Summer Nights in The Township (Langley) Cookin' With Brass has also performed for corporate events for such clients as Chartered Professionals in Human Resources, Probiotica and Tiplalti, in addition to major gala evenings including The Soirée for Family Services of Greater Vancouver and The Peach Arch Hospital. Cookin’ With Brass always brings the PARDI-GRAS.
Band: Willoughby Ridge Band Genre: Country, Folk, Bluegrass
About the Band: Willoughby Ridge is a local (Langley and Maple Ridge) string band playing an eclectic mix of traditional and modern music drawing on bluegrass, country, folk and roots influences as well as the works of contemporary singer-songwriters. Original songs from band members are often included as well. The lyrics are typically narratives of daily human experience—the hardships, joys, sorrows, memories and hopes that we all share. The band’s performances feature multi-part vocal harmonies and intricate instrumental arrangements with each band member contributing to lead and harmony vocals.
